A Tribute to Bruce Bagin
Bruce Bagin served with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for a quarter century, the last eighteen years of which was as a Supervisor of Investigations, overseeing an investigative unit and training EEOC personnel in handling employment discrimination cases.
In addition to supervising the investigation and resolution of charges of unlawful employment discrimination in a twenty-one county area of Pennsylvania and all of West Virginia, Bruce became a well-known and popular speaker on behalf of the EEOC and its mission.
He was widely known for his thorough and exhaustive knowledge of the requirements of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1991, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Equal Pay Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Among his many accomplishments, Bruce was selected to establish the EEOC National Training Center and was a two time recipient of the highest award in the EEOC, the Chairman's Organizational Performance Award.
He was a proud graduate of Duquesne Law School and a life long champion of civil rights and social justice.
For all that, and so much more, all of us at Wienand and Bagin thank him from the bottom of our hearts.
